Baffle ceilings that heat and cool
With KIGO baffles, KIGO Copper heat exchangers are integrated into vertically suspended, perforated metal baffles – activated on both sides. The result is an open baffle ceiling that heats, cools and absorbs sound at the same time.
KIGO baffles are ideal for rooms with high thermal loads and high acoustic requirements: conference rooms, restaurants, cafeterias or reception areas. Part of Geneva Airport is already equipped with KIGO baffles.
Construction
- Standard dimensions: spacing 200 mm, height 200 mm, length 2000 mm
- activated on both sides with KIGO Copper heat exchangers
- hinged suspension: the services in the plenum remain easily accessible
- perforation and colour of the baffles of your choice
- typically about 80% of the ceiling area is covered with baffles, with a generous open joint around the perimeter
Performance and acoustics
KIGO baffles achieve a high specific cooling capacity of up to 140 W/m² of floor area (design temperatures 16/19 °C, room 26 °C) as well as high heating capacities. Variable thermal loads – for example in full meeting rooms – are reliably removed.
The perforated baffles absorb sound on both sides, for pleasant acoustics even in large, lively rooms.
