KIGO hybrid ceiling panels
Heating, cooling, ventilating and absorbing sound in just 85 mm
The KIGO Copper IKCH hybrid ceiling panel combines three functions in one element: heating and cooling by radiation, hygienic ventilation and sound absorption.
Its special feature is the ventilation box: fresh air is led into the space between the slab and the heat exchanger, along the KIGO Copper heat exchanger. This additional convection raises the cooling capacity to 134 W/m². Heat exchanger and ventilation box together require only about 85 mm of height.
Ideal for offices, meeting rooms and training rooms where space is limited and thermal comfort, air quality and acoustics matter equally.
IKC or IKCH – what is the difference?
- KIGO Copper IKC (ceiling panel): heating, cooling and acoustics. Ventilation can be combined with a separate duct. → To the ceiling panels
- KIGO Copper IKCH (hybrid ceiling panel): heating, cooling, ventilation and acoustics fully integrated in one panel – without visible ventilation ducts.
Construction
The hybrid ceiling panel is modular and consists of one, two or at most three metal trays. Up to a length of 2750 mm it is made of a single module; above that, of several modules.
It is mounted to the slab, close to a downstand or partition wall behind which the services are distributed. It is connected to the hydraulic heating and cooling network, to the supply air and optionally to the extract air. Slab activation and an extract air box are available as options.
The three basic functions of the IKCH hybrid ceiling panel: heating and cooling by radiation, hygienic ventilation and sound absorption.
Performance
- Cooling capacity: 134 W/m² (design temperatures 16/19 °C, room 26 °C)
- Heating capacity: 148 W/m² (35/30 °C, room 20 °C)
- Height: about 85 mm, including ventilation box
- Acoustics: high absorption thanks to perforated copper foil and acoustic fleece
- excellent price/performance ratio
